About the Southport Youth Basketball League

The Southport Youth Basketball League is in its first year of existence, taking over for what was formerly PTYB. We are excited to offer Future Cardinals an opportunity to connect with the current Southport Basketball coaching staff and develop their fundamental skills.

By joining the Southport Youth Baketball League for $100, your son will receive:
-Free admission to SHS basketball games
-Guaranteed 8 games of 5-on-5 play on Saturdays

Vision

We want to create teams of future Southport student-athletes. We want to players to develop their fundamentals, team skills, and develop a relationship with our Southport High School coaching staff.

Mission

It is the mission of the Southport Youth Basketball League to educate and empower future Cardinals with confidence, commitment, and integrity, so they can live a productive and successful tomorrow. Our goal is to teach young athletes respect for themselves, their peers, and their community by instilling a code of ethics built on honesty, responsibility and teamwork.

Together, our players, families and volunteers work with unyielding spirit to cultivate a safe and disciplined environment so every child can reach their full potential, develop their talents and develop basketball and life skills.

Timeline
Registration begins at the beginning of September and will run through October 14th! Registration will be all online.

League will run from November to early February for 2nd-6th grade student-athletes.
